Job Title: High Voltage Transmission Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

Insight Global is seeking a skilled High Voltage Transmission Electrical Engineer with expertise in HVDC electrical power systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on the design of HVDC terrestrial and submarine cable systems and converter stations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide engineering support for HVDC terrestrial and submarine cable systems and converter stations
- Support HVDC cable routing and converter station feasibility studies
- Offer technical input during the project permitting phase
- Prepare conceptual-level engineering documents
- Collaborate with the Project Engineer and Project Manager on developing design schedules and budgets for electrical engineering work activities

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Electrical Engineering required
- Occasional travel required to other AECOM locations and Client sites
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required

Nice to Have:

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- HVAC experience in addition to HVDC
- Experience working with FACTS
- Power systems analysis software experience (ASPEN OneLiner, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, AcSELerator, EnerVista, etc.)
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, etc.)
- Ability to lead engineering tasks with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish
- Plant Startup and Commissioning Field Experience
- Owners Engineering experience
- Experience working with remote teams
