Job Summary

Oklahoma State University seeks a qualified Adjunct - Paramedicine to serve as an instructor for the Paramedicine degree program. This is a continuous assignment based on program need and funding availability.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Leadership and Management: Possess knowledge in EMS agency operations, management, and leadership functions.
  2. Curriculum Development: Update curriculum to meet changing trends in the Paramedicine field.
  3. Instructional Delivery: Present material in the traditional or online classroom environment.
  4. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct formative and summative assessment of student learning.
  5. Classroom Environment: Create and maintain a positive learning environment, displaying and requiring professionalism in all classroom activities.
  6. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with EMS agency representatives on meeting program goals and learning outcomes.
  7. Direction and Supervision: Function under the direction of the Paramedicine Program Director.
  8. Lab Preparation: Prepare lab for classes, help dismantle and clean up after lab activities.
  9. Lab Instruction: Function as a lab instructor during class labs.
  10. Safety and Equipment: Demonstrate the safe and proper use of lab equipment and hazardous or biohazardous materials.
  11. Leadership and Role Modeling: Provide leadership and positive role modeling for students.
  12. Program Evaluation: Attend annual program meeting and participate in the assessment of student learning annual report.
  13. Record Keeping: Maintain student and course records.
  14. Course Materials: Maintain and file current course outlines, objectives, and grading procedures for all courses.
  15. Instructional Innovation: Exhibit innovative and adaptive instructional methods.
  16. Community Engagement: Provide continuing education experiences for the community.
  17. Training and Compliance: Complete all mandatory training.
  18. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned.
