Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves supporting the Nursing Department in patient care through comprehensive cardiac monitoring. Key responsibilities include alerting nursing staff and relevant healthcare professionals about significant physiological and cardiac changes.

SUPERVISOR

Chief Clinical Officer

CORE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist healthcare providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic interventions, and related procedures.
  • Monitor and document physiological data, including obtaining six-second strips as necessary based on patient status.
  • Identify patient arrhythmias, abnormalities, or notable deviations from baseline and report findings to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare team members.
  • Coordinate and support care as instructed.
  • Maintain and care for cardiac monitoring equipment.
  • Document and interpret patients' heart rhythms and rates using telemetry recordings.
  • Perform tasks within the scope of training, knowledge, and in accordance with hospital policies and applicable regulations.
  • Manage incoming calls from patients and healthcare providers effectively.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the services offered by Cohesive Staffing Solutions.
  • Communicate information clearly to patients, families, and staff.
  • Execute miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional demeanor.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance.

  • Proven track record of successful task completion.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to tailor presentations for diverse audiences.

  • Intellectual capability to navigate complex concepts.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Proficient in technology including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Individuals with a history of abuse or neglect in healthcare settings are not eligible for this position.
  • Must be free from illegal drug use.
  • Must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while at work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited arrhythmia or EKG interpretation course.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • EKG certification as required by state or client regulations.
  • Must maintain current Provider BLS Certification.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

English is the primary language. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents and regulations. Proficient in writing reports and correspondence. Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from diverse groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and interpret various data representations.
