Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide healthcare support to students with special needs in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience working with students with diverse health requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers and other staff in monitoring the health of students with special needs
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as needed
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of student health information
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students as needed
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
- Work in a school setting with students of varying ages and abilities
- May be required to lift or move students as needed
- May be exposed to infectious diseases or other health risks
