At ACDC Dynamics, a leading manufacturer, importer, and distributor of quality products in the electrical, electronics, pumps, and tools industry, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to contribute to our company's procurement objectives.

Job Summary

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business both locally and internationally. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance, and liaising with inventory teams and management. The Procurement Specialist will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.

The ideal candidate should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Research, select, and purchase quality products and materials both locally and internationally.
  2. Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
  3. Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.
  4. Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
  5. Arrange the transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  6. Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
  7. Coordinate with the inventory team, management, and warehouse as required.
  8. Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  2. Relevant experience preferred.
  3. Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
  4. Proficient in appropriate software.
  5. Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Occasional domestic and/or international travel.
  8. Experience in Electrical/Electronics preferred.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $65,000 and $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
