Job Overview
At Delta Air Lines, we're seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Technician (GMT) to join our Ground Support Equipment team. As a GMT in a motorized role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of airport systems and equipment.

About the Role
This is a dynamic opportunity that requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and overhaul all components of our equipment, including trucks, bodywork, and drive-train components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with our equipment.
  • Conduct electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and vendors to ensure seamless repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work assignments and interact with other company personnel as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, and possess a valid driver's license. A minimum of three years of demonstrated ability or a two-year degree from a post-secondary technical school is also required. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as the ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
While not required, a detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subject areas is highly desirable. The ability to read and comprehend technical documents, manuals, and schematics is also beneficial. Strong communication skills, particularly in working with customers and coordinating repairs with other technicians and vendors, are crucial to success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
As a Ground Maintenance Technician with Delta Air Lines, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from $31.22 to over $40 per hour, depending on experience and certifications. You will also be eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and access to our employee assistance program.
