About the Role

As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical care to patients in emergency situations. Your skills and expertise will enable you to assess each call situation and determine the best course of action, working within progressive Paramedic protocols. You will utilize medical equipment and procedures, communicate with patients and their loved ones, and work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must have valid State Driver's License.
  • State Paramedic License.
  • BLS, ACLS, PHTLS/ITLS, PALS.
  • Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare preferred.

Salary and Benefits
