Job Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Court Reporters to join our team at Remote Legal.

At Remote Legal, we modernize court reporting and embed it into a broader technology-enabled litigation platform, driving lawyer efficiency and reducing litigation costs for clients.

Our solutions provide access to justice and help lawyers work more efficiently.

Role Responsibilities
  • Administer oaths to witnesses and provide excellent customer service.
  • Interact with clients, assist with technology issues, and report legal proceedings via CAT software.
  • Manage exhibit markings and retainage as needed.
  • Prepare accurate verbatim transcripts on time.
Requirements
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • A professional demeanor, can-do attitude, quick wit, and ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and communicate them to others.
  • Tech-savviness with reporter's CAT software and remote deposition platforms.
  • Organized and efficient, completing assigned work within set timelines.
  • Exceptional grammar and punctuation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NCRA membership preferred.
  • RPR, RMR, CRR, and NYCRC certifications encouraged but not required.
  • Previous videoconference room experience, such as Zoom or Webex, preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, plus benefits including FSA, 401k, health and dental insurance, holidays, paid vacation, and location in Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo.
