The Senior Industrial Mechanical Designer position plays a vital role in leading the mechanical layout design for select projects, ensuring innovative and effective solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting analysis, studies, and detailed designs for assigned projects.
  • Preparing specifications by investigating local standards, manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Performing field observations and gathering information on existing conditions for select projects.
  • Collaborating with owners and design-build contractors to gather functional and program requirements.
  • Supporting project capital cost estimates and leading the development of corporate mechanical drawing standards.
  • Assisting with engineering proposals, including mechanical scopes of work, deliverables, and man-hour budgets.
  • Providing proactive coordination with other design disciplines on select projects.
  • Mentoring junior design staff in their skills development.

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong computer skills, and possessing excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Key qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience.
  • Associates degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and other mechanical design applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a positive working environment and adhering to Vestal Corporation's Quality Control and Project Management procedures.

Compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $125,000 USD, depending on education and experience.
