About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a 13-week contract position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading healthcare facility and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating MRI scanners, assisting in the diagnosis of disease and injury, and ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients and coils on the table that slides inside the MRI scanner, injecting contrast media as required.
  • Set appropriate technical parameters and observe image data on computer monitors during scans.
  • Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
  • Eighteen months of experience in an MRI Technologist role, preferably in a critical care setting.
  • A degree from an approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
