The Speech Language Pathologist I (SLP I) reports to the Clinical Manager of Speech Language Pathology at MUSC Health & Medical University of SC.

The SLP I is responsible for providing treatment and intervention for patients with speech, voice, language, communication, swallowing and related disabilities in Pediatrics & Adults, Inpatient and Outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of treatment and intervention for patients with speech, voice, language, communication, swallowing and related disabilities.
  • Collaboration with the Clinical Manager of Speech Language Pathology to ensure effective patient care.
  • Adherence to Medical University of South Carolina's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Current Intern Licensure in SLP by the State of South Carolina.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
