We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team in Fayetteville, AR. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading North American leader in the staffing and consulting services industry.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and managing purchasing projects that have critical impact on KTC Revenue and/or customer satisfaction. They will assist the Purchasing Manager in completing special projects relating to customer flexibility, inventory, and margin performance. The ideal candidate must be able to drive cost down, inventory control, and special projects while supporting the goals and objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead NPI procurement activities to ensure timely completion of initial production purchases in support of project plans created by Program Managers.
  • Evaluate buyers' execution of activities, including timely procurement of goods, sourcing from preferred suppliers, buying at optimal prices, and procuring in correct quantities, following SOPs, and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Escalate material shortages and facilitate resolution through the purchased materials shortage mitigation and escalation process, serving as a point of contact for buyers in resolving critical issues up to CEO level.
  • Identify opportunities to negotiate favorable pricing for required production materials.
  • Support supply chain programs to maintain optimum inventory levels, working closely with program management to control, recover, and dispose of excess and obsolescent materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum seven years' experience in materials and purchasing, with experience negotiating contracts in a cost-competitive environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to interact with diverse groups of people, handle sensitive situations, and demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to write routine reports, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
