About the Position

This Contracting Specialist position is part of the U.S. Army Contracting Command's Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project, which focuses on acquiring and managing contracts efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of pre-award and post-award duties to support contract management.
  • Implement solutions to resolve contractual issues requiring special handling or terms.
  • Serve as lead negotiator during multi-disciplined government contract/procurement negotiations.
  • Evaluate contractor proposals and prepare pre-negotiation positions.
  • Develop acquisition plans to procure multi-year contract programs.
  • Perform cost analysis to determine price reasonableness.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited educational institution.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level, including:
  • Cost/price analysis for contract negotiation positions.
  • Providing advice and guidance on acquisition milestones.
  • Maintaining compliance with regulations and contractual agreements.
Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $73,871 - $133,541 per year, based on the GS-12 and GS-13 broadband scales. Additionally, benefits include health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
