About the Role

As a Perinatal Care Specialist in our Labor and Delivery team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout their labor and delivery experience. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe arrival of newborns.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor, assessing progress and assisting with pain management techniques.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized birth plans and interventions.
  • Assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Educate and support mothers and their families during the postpartum period, providing breastfeeding assistance and newborn care instruction.

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • BLS certification
  • Two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
