UCSD Layoff from Career Appointment: The University of California seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team.

Special Selection Applicants: This part-time appointment requires a Diagnostic subject matter expert with advanced knowledge of radiologic technology.

Please note that this position involves working under general supervision, performing routine to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment throughout General Diagnostic Radiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for procedures by using established protocols to achieve the highest quality image.
  • Follow protocols specified by the Radiologist and enter complex data into the computer system.
  • Review, verify, and evaluate images and radiographs to ensure technical quality and image quality.
  • Ensure compliance with related policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare members.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate of a school of radiologic technology.
  • California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).
  • California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F) within six (6) months of hire.
  • Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
  • Less than 18 months of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (Rad Tech) OR more than 18 months of experience (Sr. Rad Tech).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in a similar role and setting.
  • Demonstrated hospital experience.

Special Conditions:

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and some overtime, if necessary, for unexpected staffing issues.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $97,781 - $121,605 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $58.24

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
