Job Summary

First New York Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Servicing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all required loan servicing functions for commercial loans, including data collection, core system changes, reporting, and ongoing file maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with lending staff and borrowers to assist with commercial loan annual review data collection, core system changes, and ongoing file maintenance.
  • Monitor tax compliance on commercial and consumer real estate loans and report findings to lending management.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors on monthly tax reporting.
  • Assist with monthly commercial loan adjustable rate mortgage letters, system updates, maturities, and rewrites.
  • Follow up on homeowners and flood insurance for all loan types to ensure the credit union is adequately protected and properly insured.
  • Protect the credit union's interest in the recording of collateral for all loan types, including DMV lien, UCC filings, and letters of guarantee.
  • Assist with life and disability debt cancellations, including processing and distribution of proceeds, and complete GAP claims and file maintenance.
  • Organize and prioritize responsibilities as they relate to job functions.
  • Act as a backup for commercial loan processing as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
