About the Role

">

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Integration Specialist Leader to join our team in the Data Engineering & Knowledge Management Department. This hands-on leader will be responsible for re-imagining ways to make our structured and unstructured data available for reuse across MITRE systems in both on-prem and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Data Management: Manage on-premises and cloud databases, as well as data virtualization platforms, to ensure seamless operation and drive data strategy forward.">
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, providing guidance, technical oversight, and training as needed.">
  • Cloud Migration: Support and facilitate ongoing efforts to migrate on-premises workloads and data to cloud platforms.">
  • Data Virtualization: Develop and implement data virtualization strategies to improve data access, integration, and aggregation.">
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of our data while maintaining audit compliance with InfoSec, DFARS, CMMC, and other business requirements.">
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design enterprise solutions and resolve data-related issues.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.">
  • Cloud Experience: 3+ years of experience managing data in the cloud, especially Microsoft Azure.">
  • Data Skills: Broad knowledge of data virtualization and database technologies.">
  • Leadership: Proved experience in leading and managing a team of technology professionals.">

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role with a focus on data management and operations, including experience building, retaining, mentoring, and growing geographically distributed staff.">
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Denodo, as well as experience managing structured and unstructured data stores.">
  • Cloud Deployment: Experience deploying cloud services using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.">
  • Strategic Vision: Capable of defining and executing on a strategic vision.">
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.">
  • Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.">
