Geographic Information Systems Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) professional to join our team at Big Bend Electric Cooperative Inc. as a GIS Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and updating point and line data for various electrical assets, including transformers, poles, fuses, and meters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update GIS data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to refine GIS data applications and outputs.
- Perform field audits as necessary.
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant GIS experience in a similar position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, SQL Server, ESRI, AutoCAD, or similar GIS software.
- Ability to write SQL queries and perform data manipulation tasks.
- Experience using NISC software or quick adaptability to new software environments.
