Job Summary

The Behavioral Health RN Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing the pre-admission assessment process. This involves responding to calls for information, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with the Respond Department and Senior Leadership to facilitate admissions and coordinate resources.

As an Intake Coordinator - RN at Pinewood Springs, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to calls for psychiatry services and providing timely and thorough support to patients and families.
  • Prioritizing patient calls based on level of need and ensuring efficient patient flow.
  • Coordinating activities with the Respond Department and Director to maintain accurate record-keeping and efficient patient flow.
  • Ensuring EMTALA compliance and reporting any concerns to the Respond Director immediately.
  • Communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to move patients to disposition quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) diploma or associate degree.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 30 days of employment start date.
