About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with existing customers, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new business opportunities within our target market, including pool and spa retailers, builders, and maintenance firms.
  • Cold call on prospective clients and develop marketing strategies to reach new customers.
  • Qualify sales leads, make professional presentations, and provide product data as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer personnel, identifying client needs and providing solutions.
  • Closing sales and ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
  • Support operations and accounts receivable efforts, working closely with sales center, regional, and divisional managers to drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in professional-level business-to-business sales.
  • Proven track record of successful sales in a wholesale environment.
  • Ability to cold call on prospective clients and develop marketing strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more product lines, including pool-related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping/irrigation supplies, or HVAC supplies.
  • Holds a valid driver's license and has a satisfactory driving record.
  • Occasional lifting and moving up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office WORD and EXCEL.
  • Knowledge of AMP or similar customer management system preferred.
  • Knowledge of Prelude or similar inventory control software helpful.
