Job Summary

AKRF, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Assessment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Site Assessment and Remediation practice, you will be responsible for executing and supervising field aspects of environmental monitoring, site assessment, and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and conduct fieldwork activities, including remedial excavation oversight, community air monitoring, and installation and operation of mechanical remediation systems.
  • Implement work plans and standard operating procedures, and communicate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Complete and maintain logs, record field notes, and maintain in-house equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, construction safety, and asbestos licensing a plus.
  • Strong communication and mechanical aptitude skills, with prior experience in construction oversight, sampling, and air monitoring.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and engage in physically demanding site assessment and remediation-related work.
