Child and Youth Program Assistant

This position is located at the School Age Center or Youth Center on JBER, providing care and supervision to children and youth in a dynamic and engaging environment.
Responsibilities- Provide care and supervision to children and youth, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist in planning and coordinating activities for program participants, creating an environment that welcomes and promotes positive interactions.
- Implement daily schedules and activity plans to ensure age and stage appropriateness, and brief staff, management, and parents on activities.
- Conduct inventory on equipment and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, and be able to provide proof of education for verification.
- Must have 18 months of experience working in a childcare or youth program, or completion of DoD approved competency-training courses.
- Must possess and maintain one of the following credentials: child development associate credential, military school age credential, or other nationally recognized youth development credential.
As a direct care staff member, you will be eligible for a 100% child care fee discount for the first child enrolled in a full-time or regular part-time DAF CDP, and a 25% discount for any additional children.
