The Pillars of North County seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to lead our nursing team. With a focus on delivering high-quality patient care, this role will be responsible for overseeing the provision of resident services and ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with accepted standards.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • To participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • To oversee the delivery of nursing services, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • To assess and document resident conditions, identifying potential issues and implementing interventions as needed.
  • To collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • To direct and supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), providing guidance and support to promote best practice.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and facility policies.
  • To communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • To contribute to the evaluation and improvement of nursing practices, participating in quality assurance initiatives and sharing expertise with peers.
  • To work collaboratively with the broader healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.

Requirements:

  • A current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred, with a strong foundation in nursing principles and practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and implement changes as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on promoting resident-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and other software applications.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
