Rural Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Rural Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Arc Health in Alaska. This is an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients in remote areas, working closely with physicians and other healthcare staff.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. They will also travel periodically to village clinics and utilize telehealth to support rural health needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients across all age groups.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff to ensure positive clinical outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide leadership to support staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
- Travel periodically to village clinics and utilize telehealth when appropriate.
- Educate and engage patients to actively participate in their healthcare decisions and wellness.
- Eligible for credentialing and privileging as a Nurse Practitioner at the facility.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
- Valid AK license and DEA registration.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness to travel and work in varying conditions.
