Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in the Adult Inpatient Cardiac Surgery floor service. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and contributing to the educational development of staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessment and assign diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific research.
  • Establish a plan of care and implement interventions in accordance with carepaths, protocols, and standards of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to patients and families.
  • Contribute to the educational development of staff, patients, and self.
  • Provide education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and promote professionalism.
  • Advance own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education, and participation in peer review.
  • Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients, customers, and coworkers.
  • Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
  • Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.

Requirements
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Experience in cardiac surgery or cardiology preferred.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
