Salary and Benefits

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Electric Utility Supervisor to lead our power utility design projects. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for providing first-level leadership to a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and leading a team of engineers and designers
  • Concurrently performing the work of those you supervise
  • Providing support to key duties of the Project Manager/Project Engineer
  • Assisting in reviewing function/project procedures, specifications, and standards
  • Working with Project Engineers to set priorities for teams and coordinate work activities
  • Mentoring team members in professional development
  • Responsible for performance management of team members
  • Completing and delivering annual performance reviews for assigned staff

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in the Electric Utility Industry, previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced field, drafting, and/or design knowledge
  • Identified leadership skills
  • Familiarity with basic concepts, practices, and procedures used in general personnel management
  • Strong technical knowledge, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop plans and organize work to ensure efforts are focused, resources are aligned, progress is monitored, and targets are met
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Basic financial management skills
  • Able to learn and operate customer-based proprietary software
  • Available during core work hours, evening and/or weekend work may be required as duties demand
  • Willing and able to travel as needed, including overnight travel
  • Dependable transportation and valid driver's license and insurance
  • Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check
  • Authorized to work in the United States
