- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the care of our residents and ensuring that our high standards of quality and compassion are met.">

Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Monitors and supervises direct care staff in performance of health-related duties, educating and counseling as needed.">
- Holds staff meetings and provides in-services as required, consulting with Nursing Supervisor/Unit Managers on issues when necessary.">
- Makes daily rounds of high-risk residents or residents with wounds for brief changes per facility policy and turning & repositioning per standards.">
- Consults with physicians, receives, records, and implements orders as required or schedules appointments as directed.">
- Makes rounds with physicians when necessary and monitors unit for cleanliness, ensuring equipment not in use is stored properly.">
- Completes all required documentation associated with the position, including but not limited to Incident/accident reports, charting, referrals, assessment, admissions, reports to on-coming staff, chart medication/treatments in resident's electronic record.">
- Verifies medications from pharmacy for accuracy and notifies pharmacy of errors, prepares and administers medication and treatments according to procedure.">
- Responsible for medications and equipment on the unit, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, monitoring supplies of necessary materials for nursing care, and informing Central Supply or Nursing Supervisors of needs.">
- Monitors medication refrigerator's ensuring all medications have current order and are in date, assists with in-house activities as nursing schedule permits.">
- Informs staff when ill residents cannot participate in activities and when they can resume activities, coordinates with activity staff as needed.">
- Assures that proper safety measures for residents and personnel are followed, sees that residents are clean and well groomed, reporting problems to Unit Manager or Nursing Supervisor.">
- Monitors the cleanliness and working order of resident items such as false or partial teeth, glasses, and hearing aids, reporting needed repairs to appropriate staff.">
Requirements:

- A current Licensed Practical Nursing license or Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia is required.">
- CPR certification is required upon hire or willingness to obtain.">
Salary Information:
">The salary for this position ranges from $68,835 - $72,277. For RNs, the pay range is $87,214 - $90,633.
