Residential Electrician Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Residential Electrician to join our team at Precision Plumbing & Heating. As a key member of our electrical division, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality electrical solutions to residential customers.

About the Role:

This is a physical job that requires standing, lifting, bending, sitting, working in crawl spaces, ascending and descending ladders and stairs, and transporting objects up to 50 pounds.

You will work independently to complete in-home and in-office service calls, trim outlets, recessed can lighting, and other repetitive finish work. You may also perform hot work if qualified and trained with all necessary precautions in place.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Install conduit, pull wire, and mount equipment, training apprentices to do the same.
  • Maximize opportunities while on location to present any additional electrical related services that you deem necessary or beneficial to the customer.
  • Safely complete in-home and in-office service calls.
  • Trim outlets, recessed can lighting and other repetitive finish work.
  • May perform hot work if qualified and trained with all the necessary precautions in place.
  • Installation and wiring of generators, condensing units, and boilers.
  • Establish customer trust and rapport.
  • Educate customers on their options regarding electrical solutions.
  • Present financing options and walk customers through options.
  • Responsible for leading communication between the customer and the office.
  • Use electrical formulas to figure out pipe fill, device, and panel size and disconnect.
  • Lay out and organize assigned tasks.
  • Plan materials and tools needed to complete the job.
  • Read and understand basic blueprints.
  • Handle material required for the job.
  • Perform duties in a professional manner.
  • Process all necessary paperwork and documentation between the job, supply house, and office.
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite, work area, and well-inventoried truck.
  • Desire to grow the department and train apprentices to do the same.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with a current Michigan Electrical Journeyman license, able to pass a background check and drug test, and a clean driving record with a valid driving license.

As an ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a residential setting, are self-motivated to offer exceptional customer care, and comfortable entering job data on an iPad.
