Job OverviewThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in special education and possess a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. A valid Georgia Special Education certification is also required.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing IEPs tailored to each student's learning goals and needs.
- Deliver Focused Instruction: The teacher will deliver focused instruction in both individual and group settings, utilizing adaptive methods to meet diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with Educators and Families: The Special Education Teacher will collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to create a strong support network for each student.
- Assess Student Progress: The teacher will regularly assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Advocate for Resources: The Special Education Teacher will advocate for necessary resources and accommodations to ensure each student's success.
