Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Solar Maintenance Specialist to join our Operations & Maintenance Group in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial or utility solar facilities.
Responsibilities:- Ensure Safety: Recognize safety hazards and follow safety guidelines for personal protection, fellow workers, and the public.
- Interpret Instructions: Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints, and control system drawings, applying knowledge to daily tasks under supervision.
- Document Work: Complete written and electronic records required to document work in progress and completed tasks.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance, repair, test, troubleshoot, install, remove, and maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
- Supervise and Train: Supervise and train apprentice electricians/coworkers to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of industrial solar electric/electronic maintenance experience.
- Licenses: Current Journeyman's Electrical License or registered electrician with the state of MA.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of electricity, voltage, and current relationships for AC and DC circuits; ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods.
Ameresco offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
