Data Science Professor

Winona State University is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Data Science Professor. This position presents a unique opportunity for a talented educator and researcher to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a wide range of data science courses, primarily in an in-person format. The professor will also engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance their knowledge of the field. Additionally, they will provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance their teaching abilities.

• Teach data science courses using innovative and modern curricula
• Contribute to the improvement of the curriculum in data science
• Supervise capstone experiences, such as student research projects or internships
• Provide service to the university and community, including advising students

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, or Biostatistics with an anticipated completion date before August 2025. They must also have experience teaching a data science or statistics course as the primary instructor or teaching assistant.

The salary for this position is approximately $64,066-$186,015 per year, based on the current market rate for similar positions in the region.
