AECOM is seeking a skilled Transportation Planner / Engineer to join our team in this exciting opportunity to innovate and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and refine model code for travel demand modeling, ensuring accuracy standards are met.
  • Assemble and prepare data for model validation and long-range travel forecasts, leveraging SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages.
  • Develop forecasts for toll road projects, utilizing choice models, econometrics, and survey data analysis.
  • Document results of modeling and forecasting efforts, incorporating QGIS/ArcGIS for model design and database development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant transportation modeling experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
  • Expertise in the 4-Step process of travel demand modeling, Activity-Based Models, micro-simulation, and dynamic traffic assignment.
  • Experience with GIS and database analysis, including developing scripts to process data in and out of GIS files or automated routines in QGIS / ArcGIS.
  • Familiarity with travel demand modeling software, such as Cube, TransCAD, TRANSIMS, and VISUM.
Estimated Salary: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per annum
