National Beef Packing Co., LLC is a leading meatpacking company with facilities across the US and worldwide. As a Refrigeration Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our large-scale ammonia refrigeration systems and associated plant utilities.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Manager to lead our team of 18 and oversee safety compliance, repair and maintenance budgets, and effective communication between departments.

This role requires extensive experience with refrigeration and boiler systems, strong leadership and training skills, as well as knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) & Risk Management Planning (RMP) programs and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operation and maintenance of large-scale ammonia refrigeration systems and associated plant utilities.
  • Lead a team of 18 and oversee safety compliance, repair and maintenance budgets, and effective communication between departments.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs within the refrigeration and boiler areas.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and information technology teams to implement best solutions for desired application results.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years working with ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • 5-10 years working with boilers and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) & Risk Management Planning (RMP) programs and compliance.
  • Experience managing supervisory and hourly staff.
  • Ability to teach, train, and develop departmental staff.
  • Experience with maintenance planning & scheduling systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical aspects of refrigeration and boiler systems.
