**Job Summary:**


US Foods is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehouse team in ensuring efficient operations, high-quality service, and a safe working environment.



Job Description:

  • Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching, training, and problem resolution to drive engagement and retention.
  • Create a cohesive organization by maintaining open communication lines and directing workforce to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Direct and supervise the work and productivity of associates within the warehouse department, driving associate engagement and retention while embodying US Foods values.
  • Participate in building high-performing teams by interviewing and hiring warehouse personnel, reviewing performance, coaching on productivity and safety targets, and delivering disciplinary action as needed.
  • Lead and direct associates to achieve accurate orders that are then staged and loaded on the trucks, overseeing the preparation of the warehouse for shipping or receiving on the next shift.
  • Monitor operational information, such as mis-picks and productivity reports, to ensure the entire shift meets rates and follows preferred methods, taking corrective action through coaching and counseling.
  • Maintain physical condition and safety of warehouse and equipment, including preparing work orders for repairs and requisitions for equipment.
  • Work with operations management team to identify sources of inventory shrink and assist in developing an action plan to improve expense and cost control.
  • Regularly inspect facility for safety hazards and either resolve them or report them to the safety manager as appropriate, maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment.
  • Ensure Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements are followed, effectively scheduling working shifts by leveraging planning tools such as Microsoft Excel.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution required, with a minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
  • Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods, and procedures, along with strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
  • Basic computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office, and a high school diploma or GED required, with a college degree preferred.
  • HACCP certification and PCQI certification are pluses.


Salary and Benefits:

The expected base rate for this role is between $55,000.00 to $90,000.00, with an annual incentive plan bonus available. Benefits may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.



Travel and Education:

10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training, with a high school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
