Specialists Hospital Shreveport, LLC is seeking a seasoned RN Unit Manager to lead our Inpatient Unit. With a strong background in Medical/Surgical nursing and experience in supervisory roles, you will be responsible for directing patient care, ensuring efficient operations, and promoting a professional practice environment.

Job Description

This leadership position involves overseeing the continuum of care for patients from admission through discharge. You will work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing, physicians, and nursing staff to achieve positive patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directing patient care through effective planning, organization, and delegation.
  • Coordinating patient care with nursing teams to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Providing direction on age-specific care and moving to direct patient care when needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with nursing standards, CMS, and DHH regulations.
  • Fostering growth and development through effective orientation and continuing education of staff.
  • Maintaining departmental compliance, infection control policies, safety protocols, and variance reporting.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current RN state license.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role (five years preferred).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Ability to perform CPR.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $70,000 and $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
