Clinical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at International Staff Consulting. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients.
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
- Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature.
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Attend annual department trainings and answer telephone calls.
Requirements:
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Pediatrics experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
