Hajoca Corporation, a leading wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies, is seeking a skilled Logistics Driver to join their team in Wausau, WI.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will operate company vehicles safely, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Deliveries may include job sites, customer facilities, vendor locations, and other Hajoca sites.
  • Loading and securing merchandise properly is crucial to prevent damage during transportation. Ensuring accurate shipping documentation and directions to each destination is also vital.
  • The Logistics Driver must unload merchandise correctly, obtain signatures, and collect payments for cash sale deliveries. Resolving shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately is essential.
  • Maintenance of the vehicle's safe operating condition is paramount. Regular inspections are required, and any mechanical issues must be reported promptly.
  • Sales leads can be generated by noting prospective customer names and addresses encountered during deliveries.
Requirements:
  • Able to drive vehicles over 10,000 lbs., with a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
  • Possess a proper Department of Transportation physical examination before commencing work and every two years thereafter.
  • Familiarity with commercial motor vehicle regulations and safety precautions in warehouse environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Calm and composed in stressful situations, able to function effectively under pressure.
