Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay range is $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, plus $2 per hour shift differential.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician II performs skilled routine machine maintenance work and other ongoing maintenance throughout the manufacturing facility. Use hand and power tools in repair, machine alteration, and any other facility work as directed by the supervisor. Ensure all work sites are returned to a usable condition at the completion of repair work.

  • Implement facilities improvement projects as assigned and help coordinate internal resources with outside vendors when appropriate.
  • Assemble, install, repair, effectively maintain, and troubleshoot new and existing plant equipment while working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using hand or power tools.
  • Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC equipment.
  • Specify repair parts and replace as needed and help maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Set up and operate tools and equipment to make and repair parts, tooling, and equipment.
  • Work with manufacturing engineers if needed, in the development and construction of new processes or equipment to increase throughput and reduce operating expenses through inventory or waste reduction.
  • Support all manufacturing and Lean efforts in the plant.
  • Document, as required, procedures and instructions, in compliance with PM requirements.
  • Preventative Maintenance.
  • All other activities that help support the building, facilities, design, quality, and manufacturing operations.
Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in maintenance technician required; manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous trade experience or training in mechanical, building, electrical, or maintenance highly preferred.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics preferred.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a medium to high volume production facility.
  • Metal fabrication a plus, use of mills, lathes, and welding.
  • Standard 40-hour workweek applies, overtime as needed.
  • Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting is required on a daily basis.
  • Hand dexterity and strength.
  • Requires full, unrestricted, range of physical motion to successfully operate manual/electrical power tools and other mechanical shop equipment.
  • Working hours will be spent in production setting.
  • May require occasional travel in rare circumstances for training or help at another plant.
