Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional surgical nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with the healthcare delivery team.
  • Ensure effective communication with the surgical team, including surgeons, surgical technologists, and other nurses.
  • Assist in emergency procedures, elective, and scheduled cases, working closely with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Assess patients before, during, and after surgery, maintaining a sterile operating room and performing interventions to maintain patient stability.
  • Actively involve patients or designated support persons in decisions affecting their post-perioperative plan of care and rehabilitation process.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in Perioperative Nursing.
