Medical Assistant

Mason Health seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to join our clinic team. As an integral member, you will efficiently perform back office duties, including monitoring patient flow, greeting and rooming patients, documenting patient histories, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
Working closely with physicians/providers, you will ensure a positive patient experience by maximizing physician time, reducing delays, and facilitating efficient patient care.
This per-diem position offers a competitive hourly rate and a range of benefits, including mental health and wellness resources, employee assistance programs, paid sick leave, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage patient flow to optimize physician time and reduce delays.
- Take initial patient history, accurately document vital signs and complaints, and prepare patient and room for examination or procedure.
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing, and prepare specimens for outside testing.
- Clean patient rooms after visits and procedures, and maintain equipment and medical stock.
- Complete tasks and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
- One year of experience in a physician's office, preferred.
- State of Washington certification as Medical Assistant, required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or within 180 days of hire.
