Family Support Team Leader Position

Job Summary:

The Family Support Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that the Family Center and the Family Support Team meet the Illinois Birth to Three Standards, DCFS Licensing Standards, Family Support Principles and Premises, and the District 65 Evanston Early Learning Standards. This involves providing research-based activities that align with the 4 components: child education/activities, parent/child interactive activities, parenting education, and if needed adult education and life skill activities. Additionally, the FSTL ensures the compilation, analysis, and submission of FSAs Monthly Reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff and work with families with birth-to-five year old children in the home or in the center.
  • Ensure the Center and the Family Support Team meet standards and provide appropriate activities.
  • Compile, analyze, and submit FSAs Monthly Reports.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or social work required, Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years experience in supervising staff and working with families.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, good organizational and management skills, and computer proficiency required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
