Job Description

About Us:

Veteran Medical Group Inc, (VMG) is a customer-centric and socially responsible organization dedicated to serving Veterans.

We are a corporation created to provide Veteran disability examinations to Veterans by Optometrists who are looking to explore non-clinical opportunities in Military medicine.

Job Summary:

  • VMG is searching for qualified Ophthalmologists and Optometrists (MD and OD) healthcare providers to join our nation-wide network.
  • One-on-one remote training on how to efficiently complete charting for DBQs.
  • See the Veteran in-person at designated practice locations provided or at your own approved location.
  • No ongoing care relationship with the Veteran and absolutely no prescribing.
  • Complete web portal documentation (DBQ) to determine the Veteran's diagnoses/disability.
  • The complete process should take approximately 30 minutes to one hour depending on how many claims the Veteran has.
  • Appointments will be scheduled in advance and are flexible to fit your schedule.

Requirements:

Must be a Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Ophthalmologist (MD).

Be able to perform the following tests: Visual Acuity Test, Visual Field Test – Kinetic Perimetry, Tonometry, Slit Lamp/ External Eye Exam, Fundus/ Internal Eye Exam.
