Job Summary:

The Anesthesia Technician functions under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, CRNA or Registered Nurse and performs delegated functions. This role is responsible for providing safe and effective cleaning of all equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orders and prepares supplies and equipment as needed by the Anesthesiologist for surgical procedures.
  • Observes Universal Precautions and is responsible for meeting the Standards of Care.
  • Assumes responsibility for the safe and effective cleaning of all equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum two years anesthesia or critical care background.
  • Ability to operate or ability to learn to operate equipment used in performing job responsibilities.
  • BLS required.
