Job Title: Program Representative

Join Mohave County Community Services in Kingman, AZ, as we seek a highly motivated and experienced Program Representative to deliver career coaching services for participants of employment and training programs.

Job Summary:

The Program Representative will perform professional-level work in delivering career coaching services, including implementing program requirements, determining participant eligibility, and providing on-going case management and career coaching. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field, and have two years of case management experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement program requirements of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act, including determining participant eligibility and providing career coaching services.
  • Create and update client files, maintaining accurate records of participant interactions and program activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and community agencies, collaborating to create unified case management plans.
  • Maintain awareness of local job market trends and opportunities, providing guidance to clients and participating in job fairs and training events.
  • Counsel and assist clients in understanding causes of and contributing factors to their barriers to employment, and persuading them to identify and utilize personal and external resources to resolve or alleviate those barriers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field.
  • Two years of case management experience, including provision of training in employment competency, job skills, or other skills to develop and enhance an individual's employable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Valid driver's license for operation of motor vehicles on Arizona roads, and acceptable driving history.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Mohave County Rules, Administrative Procedures, Code of Ethics, and department policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Understanding, interpreting, and applying pertinent federal and state laws and regulations, technical materials, and departmental procedures to the planning, coordinating, and performing of activities associated with employment competency activities and program responsibilities.
  • Effective interviewing and counseling techniques, and training and instructional methods and techniques used in the development and enhancement of an individual's knowledge, skills, and abilities in preparation for employment.
