About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and certified Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Glenwood Inc.'s Allan Cott School.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other language disorders. Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate with professionals, including teachers, occupational therapists, and behavior analyst staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning

Conduct thorough assessments to identify specific speech, language, and communication needs, developing effective treatment plans to promote progress.

Clinical Consultation and Collaboration

Work closely with the multidisciplinary treatment team to share information and coordinate care, ensuring seamless programming and support.

Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Development

Collaborate with educational teams to establish and maintain IEP requirements, ensuring alignment with therapy goals and objectives.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Support

Work with Local Education Agencies, insurance providers, and funding sources to procure and maintain AAC devices, promoting effective communication for individuals on caseloads.

Documentation and Quality Assurance

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, adhering to best practice standards and agency protocols.

Professional Development and Accountability

Fulfill professional development requirements, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within the agency.

Requirements
  • Education and Certification

A Master's degree and certification in Speech-Language Pathology, including CCC-SLP certification.

Experience and Skills

A minimum of [X] years of experience working in special education with populations having ASD, emotional disturbances, developmental disabilities, and mental health-related behaviors. Familiarity with pediatric feeding is preferred.

Additional Requirements

A current AL driver's license that meets Glenwood's contracting insurer requirements, along with completion of agency-provided training in 1st Aid, CPR, and MCS (Managing Crisis Safely).

Clear Background and Pre-Hire Screenings

All background checks and pre-hire screenings must be clear before commencing employment.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Salary range based on experience and qualifications.

Signing Bonus: $2,500

A one-time bonus paid out in two installments ($1,250 at 90 days and $1,250 at 6 months).
