Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Transportation Planning Executive Lead to join our team and spearhead the development of cutting-edge transportation and transit solutions that transform communities. As a key technical expert, you will provide strategic guidance and leadership in all aspects of urban and rural transit and transportation planning, including multimodal corridor studies, subarea studies, and regional transportation plans.



Key Responsibilities



  • Ensure project development meets quality standards and objectives, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Provide expert strategic guidance on complex transit and transportation projects, leveraging your extensive knowledge to drive informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, enhance project delivery, and promote a culture of collaboration.
  • Conduct in-depth research, analyze complex data, and engage with stakeholders to inform planning strategies, ensuring that community needs are at the forefront.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth and development within the team.
  • Utilize GIS mapping and spatial analysis to develop innovative project solutions that drive tangible results.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and memos with actionable recommendations, providing stakeholders with valuable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and present to diverse audiences, distilling complex information into actionable insights.
  • Navigate federal transit funding programs and compliance tasks, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Lead transit-specific public engagement efforts, fostering meaningful dialogue with stakeholders and community members.
  • Address infrastructure and land use issues affecting transit, driving informed solutions that balance community needs with project requirements.

Requirements



  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared success.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, public policy, geography, or a related field.
  • Certified Planner (AICP), preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in transportation/transit planning.
  • Experience in ArcGIS or ArcPro software.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving history.
