Business Office Manager Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Business Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Business Office. This includes ensuring compliance with American House's philosophy and hallmarks, as well as all written policies and procedures that govern the operations of the Business Office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the Business Office
• Ensure compliance with American House's philosophy and hallmarks
• Maintain accurate and timely financial information for residents, administrative staff, and insurance companies
• Process and post charge slips, prepare and mail resident invoices and statements, and reconcile bank statements
• Prepare payroll, maintain employee records, and provide employees with benefit information
• Comply with COBRA requirements and coordinate with employees to enroll in benefits
• Make written and oral reports to the Executive Director concerning the operation of the Business Office
• Cash management, including resident deposits and payroll account
• Assist in the planning and implementation of in-service training and submit recommendations for budget completion, equipment, and supplies

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Excellent communication skills and compassion for older adults
• Valid driver's license
• High School Diploma, Associate Degree in Business or Accounting desired
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
