Responsibilities

As an IML Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Communicating and working with equipment operators, product operators, and other departments to keep them informed of maintenance problems and activities.
  • Completing daily walk-throughs and inspections of all IML automation.
  • Performing label placement adjustments to minimize scrap.
  • Performing minor adjustments to the vision systems to reduce false rejects.
  • Performing daily Pit Stop PMs on IML automation.
  • Making minor mechanical or program adjustments to optimize performance of IML automation.
  • Performing minor mechanical repairs to IML automation.
  • Assisting and participating in Maintenance training programs and on-the-job training to develop a skilled and efficient maintenance team.
  • Performing job requirements in a safe and professional manner.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Must perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
  • Preferred 1+ years of work experience as an IML Technician.
  • Previous experience with IML systems (Pages, Muller, IML Robotix) strongly preferred.
  • Entry-level knowledge of PLC's ladder logic, I/O, and machine control devices.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of machine vision systems (Cognex, Acquire).
  • Must be a team player with excellent attendance, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting/moving (up to 35 pounds).
  • Must have 20/20 vision with correction and be able to differentiate color to detect defects.
  • Must be able to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reaction.
  • Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
  • Must provide your own tools.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a production environment, with exposure to grease, oils, and solvents. You must be able to work from elevated platforms and ladder lifts, and be able to lift/move up to 35 pounds. You must also have 20/20 vision with correction and be able to differentiate color to detect defects.
