About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Advanced Medical Caregiver. This role will involve providing family-centered healthcare utilizing a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to deliver state-of-the-art care to all patients. The successful candidate will practice nursing according to policies and the Nurse Practice Act, and will be responsible for supervising, planning, evaluating, and coordinating patient care provided by other licensed and non-licensed staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care according to unit-specific competencies
  • Administer medications, including controlled substances, by all routes
  • Perform therapeutic procedures and assist with diagnostic procedures required for patient care
  • Start IVs, perform activities of daily living, and manage patient emergencies
  • Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned and supervise other staff members
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities and contribute to quality measurement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting the minimum standards set by the state of Alabama
  • Two years of professional nursing experience and licensure with the state of Alabama as a registered nurse
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
