Surgical Care Coordinator

At CommonSpirit Health, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional service. As a Surgical Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care throughout their surgical journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement educational programs to increase patient and family knowledge of care, expectations, and recovery.
Assist patients in developing realistic care goals to optimize postoperative functioning and health outcomes.
Provide continuing education to care providers and patients through one-on-one education, participation in orientation, and formal education offerings.
Develop and support integrated care delivery models through interdisciplinary collaboration from preoperative to post-acute settings.
Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to establish relationships and resolve issues and concerns.
Maintain current knowledge of new clinical technologies, changes in care delivery models, and emerging programs/therapies to ensure leading-edge patient care experience.

BSN
Required Licensure and Certifications:
RN: KY
BLS/CPR within 5 days
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training:
3-5 years RN experience in a clinical or hospital setting
